Located on the East Coast of Vancouver Island in the Strait of Georgia in British Columbia, Canada, Canadian Pacific Algae's facility spans 8 acres of pristine land adjacent to ocean where hundreds of fresh water creeks flow into the Strait of Georgia. These fresh water sources provide the ocean with many nutrients that create a unique one-of-a-kind body of water that supports high marine phytoplankton diversity.
Canadian Pacific Algae has been manufacturing all-natural renewable and sustainable MULTI-SPECIES marine phytoplankton since 2009. The large-scale commercial facility produces phytoplankton year-round outdoors using natural seawater and all-natural sunlight. Mother Nature is used to naturally feed and grow the phytoplankton. No artificial light, growth chambers or bioreactors are used.
Canadian Pacific Algae holds several Canadian and U.S. patents, and licences from Health Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

And in case you were wondering...yes,
this is our view every day! And we love it.
The ocean on the East coast of Vancouver Island experiences high levels of productivity for phytoplankton, zooplankton, kelp, shellfish, fish and marine mammals. And that is why we take our commitment to the environment very seriously! Each step of our sustainable and renewable process utilizes the ocean water brought in to our facility, and after manufacturing, some of the water is stored and used for watering the facility grounds and supplying water to the buildings. The remaining water is then returned to Mother Nature in the same condition we received it - 100% pure.
